| Welcome to the Sonia & The Situation home page. Great variety band that does a little of this...and a little of that..... Classic Rock, Blues, Oldies, R&B, Funk, etc.....Anything fun with a happenin' groove. Some of the band's influences include blues greats such as Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Mickey Champion and classic rock icons like Zeppelin, The Stones, Eric Clapton (in his many formations:), Heart, Janis Joplin, etc.... The band loves the music first and foremost. The magic the music has the power to create and the good times to be had by all!!! Although still playing in her bands and running open jams about once a month, Sonia has recently entered the world of booking and promotions and has met some very cool, interesting, and talented people from all over the world. Next Sunday 6/23/13 I'll be hosting a Sunday Evening Showcase at the Stardust Club featuring Some Great Local Talent!!! Hope you can make it by to Check it Out!!! I also have openings for any bands interested in playing at the Stardust on Sunday 7/28/13. Any slot between 8pm-12am is still open at this point.
